D-Flame Extra is a blend containing the most potent anti-inflammatory essential oils and CO2 extracts, for pain relief and regeneration of all kinds. We use this blend on injuries of all kinds: twisted ankles, bruised knees, sore backs -- and with great success.The same formula has been used by arthritis sufferers, with reports that much less (if any at all) pain medication is needed with its use.*
It is a full-strength formula, already-to-go for topical applications on those sore spots. We've worked quite some time perfecting this recipe, and have had many, many positive feedbacks from its users.
The formula is designed not only to simply reduce inflammation and relieve pain, but to stimulate regeneration and healing. It is not just a "masking agent" for the pain, but the ketones and other natural molecules can actually speed cellular healing -- the ketones in Helichrysum for example are widely considered some of the most regenerative compounds in aromatherapy. The curcuminoids in the same oil increase circulation so that waste products can be flushed out of the area, and healing nutrients allowed in.
The theory regarding inflammation-reduction is simlar -- once the inflammation is reduced, new and healing nutrients can enter the area and cells to do their healing work.
The base oils alone have anti-inflammatory properties, and some are used by themselves for inflammation and pain reduction by those with arthritis. The base contains:
• Organic Tamanu, Virgin Coconut and Borage Seed. Both Tamanu and Borage are supported by peer-reviewed published studies proclaiming their anti-inflammmatory and pain reducing effects.
To these, we've added:
• Organic Helichrysum italicum essential oil
• Organic Ginger essential oil CO2 'Total'
• Wildcrafted Frankincence essential oil CO2's from two species of Olibanum tree
• Wildcrafted Plai essential oil
• Organic German Chamomile essential oil CO2. The CO2 is thought twice as potent as the steam distilled German Chamomile as an inflammation-reducer.
This is for closed wounds, not for healing of the skin. You'll find other blends for skin healing in our skin care section. THIS blend can be applied as frequently as you like, up to 5 times daily for intensive use (note that essential oils are generally "out of the body" within 3 hours - thus reapplication after that time is quite reasonable, d made lead to the fastest healing times. For more chronic pain, such as arthritis, apply as needed.
